Banyantree Club and Spa Seoul(Tower Hotel)

In an effort to revive the memories of Seoul City Wall that had been damaged during the building process in 1967, Banyan Tree Club & Spa Seoul has simplified the main building’s low-level foundation and projected the city walls in a modern image on to the new wing and the outer walls of the Happiness Hall. It has turned the above-ground parking lot into a park and is planning on constructing a trail that connects with the Seoul City Wall, maximizing the beautiful view of Mt. Namsan from Banyan Tree. It has also rearranged the core to overcome the physical limitations of the existing tower hotel structure and reevaluated the systems and designs of all areas to expand low floor height and insufficient common use spaces.
