Located in Gwacheon, Kolon Tower was designed as a future-oriented office building that retains the advanced management philosophy of the Kolon Group. Transparency was the most crucial design concept intended to make the building look visually pleasant and also invigorating, unlike other commercial buildings in its vicinity. The elliptical core, covered with glass, the lobby atrium that makes full use of curves, and the glass curtain wall on the southwestern side project the surrounding natural environment and unite the inside and outside into a single space. Since the site is close to the main road and adjacent to the subsidiary road by its long side, the building was given a narrow but tall mass. The main façade was developed on the long side that faces the subsidiary road to emphasize its frontality. The main entrance faces and is open to the front plaza. The steel frame rooftop structure and cylindrical heliport structure were constructed to unroll a futuristic image for appearance. The bracing columns connect two floors to emphasize structural beauty.
