Ambassador Seoul Pullman

The Ambassador Seoul – A Pullman Hotel is a historic place that started its operation in 1955 as Geumsujang Hotel and holds a historic status as the first private hotel in Korea. Celebrating the group's 65th anniversary, it was remodeled into a 318-room hotel and residence. By replacing the aging outer wall entirely with glass, the building captures the scenery of Seoul and provides a broad view from the guest rooms, making the best use of the locational advantage. A swimming pool, lounge, and cabana rooms for family customers are placed on the neglected rooftop, and a banquet hall and barbecue garden were newly created to increase the hotel's asset value and turn it into a space with a special design, transforming it into a place you want to stay. The free-standing structures and height-adjustable transparent safety railings installed on the fourth and nineteenth floors allow the operation of the outdoor pool and banquet hall all year round, increasing the use of the external spaces on the upper floors. We successfully proposed the goal of securing future vision and identity through space and design that captures the character of the Ambassador Seoul – A Pullman Hotel, such as specialized rooms, competitive ancillary facilities, and an improved lounge environment.
