[준공]울산스포츠과학중고등학교

국내 유일의 스포츠전문가 양성 전문교육기관인 울산스포츠과학중‧고등학교가 준공했다. 울산의 탕근산 산자락 끝에 자리하며 대지면적 7만1400㎡, 연면적 3만7100㎡, 지하 2층, 지상 6층 규모로 계획되었다. 학교 신축을 통해 해외 스포츠 스쿨, 지역병원 등과 상호협약을 통한 협력 네트워크 체제를 갖추고 글로벌 스포츠 인재 양성을 위한 교육활동을 활발히 펼치고 있다. 학생 선수의 경기력을 극대화하기 위한 사계절 전천후 육상트랙과 50미터 8레일 실내 수영장 등 최첨단 훈련 시설과 시스템을 갖추었다. 주출입이 이루어지는 동측에 체육관 2동을 병렬 배치하고 그 안쪽으로 교사동과 기숙사가 산자락과 함께 운동장을 둘러싸는 형태로 계획하였다. 울산스포츠과학중‧고등학교 신축 교사는 울산 첫 스포츠과학중‧고등학교로써 위상을 드높일 것이다.

Ulsan Sports Science Middle-High School, the only professional training institute for sports, has been completed. Situated at the mountain edge of Tangguen-san in Ulsan, it was planned as a six-story building with two floors in the basement and with total floor area of 37,100㎡ on the site of 71,400㎡. The construction of the new school allowed for the education activities of global sports stars, preparing a cooperative network system through mutual agreement with overseas sports schools and regional hospitals. In order to maximize the capacity for student players it has high-end training facilities and systems such as four-season all-weather athletic tracks and an indoor swimming pool with eight fifty-metre lanes. Two gymnasiums are planned in parallel on the east side which has the main entrance, and school buildings and dormitory in the site are placed to surround the playground with mountain edge. New buildings will improve the status of Ulsan Sports Science Middle-High School as the first of that kind in Ulsan.
