A complete of Ando’s design and Gansam’s performance hall architecture.. it will be opened on the 13th of next month.

LG Art Center Seoul, designed by world-renowned architect Ando Tadao and fully embodied his design by Gansam, will be opened in Magok-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul on the 13th of next month.

On the 21st, as entering Magok Seoul Botanical Garden where LG Art Center Seoul is located, I was fascinated by a magnificent exterior feature of LG Art Center Seoul. Gansam made it to implement Ando’s design in detail in LG Art Center Seoul based on its successful architecture experience of many cultural facilities including Tongyeong International Music Center in 2011 and Bupyeong Art Center in 2008.

Seokki Hong, executive director of Gansam said, "We tried to implement the concept proposed by Ando Tadao as much as possible by constantly communicating with the construction company for LG Art Center” and emphasized, “We also tried to reflect the requests of officials such as stage directors and lighting directors who compose performances in the LG Art Center within the observance of architectural and safety standards.”
