[Winner] Paradise Hotel Jangchung-dong Design Competition

Enclosed Garden, The Paradise

Gansam Architects has been selected as the final winner of the Paradise Hotel Jangchung-dong design competition.

This project aims to establish Korea’s premier six-star luxury hotel and residence on the Paradise Group headquarters site in Jangchung-dong, Seoul.

Gansam’s proposal was built around three core keywords—Exclusive, Heritage, and Serenity—and introduces “Gung”, a spatial journey inspired by Korean cultural heritage, together with the concept of an Enclosed Garden designed for guests to experience a refined sense of retreat.

The design offers a distinct spatial experience for hotel guests, wellness members, convention and F&B users, and visitors to exhibition and retail facilities, creating a unique and memorable journey for each user group.

At the final review, the proposal received high praise for its interpretation of a six-star hotel and its ideal organization of diverse programs.

Seoul is a city that embraces five royal palaces.
“Enclosed Garden, The Paradise” aspires to become the sixth palace, offering guests a serene void in the heart of the city where time seems to slow down.
