The Gachon University Gil Hospital Cancer Center project aimed to maintain its uniformity with the existing emergency center and strengthen its connectivity to the surrounding medical facilities to build an integrated medical service facility. In order to give the role of a local landmark as an orderly emergency center for the facility, in particular, point materials and colors were used for the elevator core and the heliport in the extended part of the building. The interior has clear demarcations for logistics, patients and staff to secure patient convenience and efficiency of maintenance and management. Construction was undertaken incrementally to allow hospital operation even during construction by considering the extension and remodeling project.
