Gangneung Arts Center is a concept of " Artraum, " which means a large space for art, and was designed to hold Olympic dreams and impress many people. The building shows the coexistence of the past and the present by planning a simple modern mass next to the old one. Gangneung Art Center was completed as a cultural complex that includes a new large-scale concert hall, remodeled small concert hall, three exhibition halls and community space. It provides the best viewing environment for a multipurpose concert hall with 1,000 seats. We designed it to be an art center that accommodates various events through integration and linkage between the two buildings.
