Dongseong-ro introduced an eye-catching interactive cultural space that fits the description, ‘hot place’ with the theme park shopping mall called Taewang Spark. It is Daegu’s first interactive sports theme park that embodies a playground in a downtown area with a 38m wide big wheel that draws more visitors in the evening. The ‘streets’ of Dongseong-ro that were scattered sporadically around the ‘food alley’ were reinterpreted into internal street malls, reflecting the characteristics of the alley culture of the district. Vertical ‘midair streets’ were added to existing horizontal traffic lines to invite people to experience new spaces on each floor as cultural spaces and various contents are offered for experiencing and amusement in addition to shopping.
