Myongji University of Science Cluster Center and Art Hall

Myongji University Creative Arts Hall is the result of the school’s campus masterplan ‘THE GREEN PROJECT’ Phase I, and it consists of the administrative wing, College of Art, Music and Physical Education and general lecture wing. In order to turn the geographical disadvantages of severe differences in levels, the College of Art, Music and Physical Education, which was expected to create lots of excessive noise, was assigned to the bottom level, the general lecture wing was allocated at the middle level, which is most accessible, and an open courtyard was placed inside the administrative wing to create a refreshing indoor space. In addition, in an effort to build an eco-friendly campus, the BIPV curtain wall has been applied to control the amount of solar radiation for the courtyard and use of solar energy, and a rain storage facility that saves and enables usage of precipitation and index information has been provided.
