Mondrian is a new premium brand presented by the French global hotel chain, Accor, launched in Itaewon, Seoul, for the first time in East Asia following other locations including New York, Miami, and LA in the US, London in the UK, and Doha in QatarThis building used to be only a hotel in the past, but this renewal changed the programs to serve multiple purposes by combining retail and hotel facilities. The renewal replaced entertainment facilities in the basement with unique retail shops such as a book café, lifestyle shop, and a craft beerhouse to aborb the local cultural lifestyle options. The main entrance/exit of the existing building was also relocated to the rear side and on the second floor using the sloped terrain. It allows general customers to use this entrance/exit instead of the hotel doors when visiting new retail shops.
