LIG Insurance Suwon Branch was redesigned to face the west in order to intensify the recognizability from the adjacent National Highway No. 1. As this exposed the office space to the sunlight from the west, long vertical members were placed to block the sunlight penetrating deep into the office and horizontal spandrel beams were installed in the round space on the southern side to complete a fully functional building that also serves as a landmark for the area giving a strong impression. Furthermore, the atrium and the sunken garden were placed on the back of the eastern side of the building for exchange with the KBS broadcasting center and residential complexes to create a small cultural space in the adjacent area.
