Bundang Doosan Tower is a new large-scale office building designed to form creative cooperation by bringing together Doosan's several affiliates scattered around the metropolitan area, which will become the place to make a new leap forward.

Co-designed by KPF and Gansam Architects & Partners, this architecture features a huge gate on the site adjacent to the intersection of the Seoul-Busan Expressway. The goal of the plan was to create a new landmark of Seongnam City by capturing the symbolism of the main gateway to connect Seongnam and Seoul in a strong and lucid mass. A giant mass from the seven basement floors to 27 floors on a 130,000-square-meter area was composed of four masses with vertical and horizontal stone louvers, respectively. Furthermore, the design concept of the pinwheel was reflected on the façade. The façade that emphasizes vertical and horizontal communication was the main element to express the corporate philosophy, and the 100-meter-long huge mass connecting the upper part of two separate masses was intended to serve as a creative space to create positive synergies through the cooperation among affiliates. The huge atrium, which penetrates the center of the top four floors, is a space for vertical communication and a space for relaxation, which infuses fresh air into a wide plane that can feel a tad stuffy. The stone louver surrounding the façade is an eco-friendly element as well as an element to implement authenticity of office design by maximizing the comfort of working environment, and a win-win element to minimize interruption to the ventilation path between the two masses on the lower floor and other nearby buildings. This project aimed at designing a new company building based on the partnership with a world-famous architecture company, agreement between the city and corporate, corporate developmental philosophy, and moreover, to plan the growth of the parties involved.
