Korea Credit Guarantee Fund Office Remodeling in Mapo

It was a remodeling project to transform the 20-story Korea Credit Guarantee Fund building in Mapo into the largest youth start-up support center in Korea. We created an efficient and pleasant environment by improving the interior space design and system. The newly transformed spaces became work, conference, and education spaces for start-ups and an exhibition hall, library, and event space that can be used by the local community. Under the slogan of sharing rooms, we did not define each area for a single program but made it the space shared with other programs and more users while it is not used. We believed that we could bring out the potential of and promote the development and success of start-ups by letting various users share spaces and have more contact with each other. For the start-up's office space, we focused on how much autonomy it could give its members where and how they work. Using calm and simple achromatic materials, we provided young people with strong characters with a space where they could focus on their work when working. We created an atmosphere full of energy for the shared space with colorful emphases. Users can hide at times and gather at other times in this space, and changes can be made readily through modularized compartments.
